Join Hospice Community Forum: An Interactive Website for the Hospice Community

Hospice Community Forum is a welcoming haven for topics of interest to hospice workers and supporters of the hospice-palliative care philosophy. This informative cyber meeting place is sponsored by the Hospice Volunteer Association, the world’s leading association for hospice volunteers and their managers. Greg Schneider, who has been a patient-care volunteer for adults and children since 1996, founded the Hospice Volunteer Association and the Hospice Community Forum.

An interactive website, Hospice Community Forum serves as a networking tool bringing people with similar interests together. Each member has a personal web page, and input from participants is welcome. Many networking components are available. They include forum discussions, news, videos, special interest groups, photographs, and events.

These are just a few of the many groups (35) that members can join:
Volunteer Management, Volunteer Vigiling, Caregiver Volunteer Training, Bereavement, Books, Cultural Diversity, Poetry and Quotes, Hospice Caregiving Stories, Alternative Therapies, and Employment Opportunities.

Lively forum discussions have included, among other topics, discussions about successful volunteer coordinator strategies, hospice recruitment, spirit sightings, prison hospice, communication with non-verbal patients, and pet therapy.

Many videos and photos are available for viewing, and members can upload and share their own. Popular videos have included So You Want to be a Hospice Volunteer, Solace: Wisdom of the Dying, Young@Heart Movie Trailer, Being With the Dying, Dementia Caregiving With Patience, Our Deepest Fear, and How a Miracle Happens.

Join us at Hospice Community Forum. Get to know others who share your interest in topics relating to quality end-of-life care.
